T10 cricket rules are designed for a shorter, faster-paced game. Each team bats for a maximum of 10 overs (60 balls), with a match typically lasting around 90 minutes.

A minimum of 5 overs must be bowled to the second-batting team to constitute a match, unless a result is achieved earlier, according to the Indian Street Premier League [2].

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

Innings and Batting:

  • Each team bats for a maximum of 10 overs.
  • The team batting second will receive its full quota of 10 overs, even if the first innings is completed earlier.
  • A minimum of 5 overs must be bowled to the second-batting team for a match to be considered valid.

Powerplay and Fielding Restrictions:

  • Many T10 competitions have a "floating" powerplay, where the batting team can choose to activate it during any of the overs after the first two, according to Wikipedia [1].
  • Fielding restrictions, similar to T20, apply for half the bowling period, meaning a maximum of two fielders outside the circle can be used for the first six overs, according to Wikipedia [8] and other sources like the ISPL rulebook [2].
  • At least three fielders must remain on either the off or leg side.

Other Notable Rules:

  • Full toss above the waist:

A full toss above waist height is a no-ball, according to CricClubs.com [7] and other rulebooks [2, 4]; the Leg umpire makes this call.

Bouncer:

Only one bouncer (a ball that bounces above the shoulder and below the head) is allowed per over. A second bouncer in an over is a no-ball.

    Interval:

The interval between innings is usually 15 minutes.

Match Result:

A match is considered a result when a team is all out, or when the second-batting team has completed its 10 overs, or if the first-batting team has achieved a target score.
